August 14, 2008 Open House and ROUSH Fenway Autograph Session

The Roush Automotive Collection is pleased to announce the third Open House event scheduled for the 2008 summer season to be held on Thursday August 14th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Activities planned for the Open House event include a Roush Fenway autograph session, car show with awards, engine build competition, and AAA race car simulator.
NASCAR Sprint cup Series race car drivers Carl Edwards will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Autograph session times and appearances may be subject to change. AAA, sponsor of the David Ragan Ford Fusion race car, returns with their race car simulator featuring exciting side-by-side competition on Daytona Speedway.
A car show hosted by the Roush Owners and Enthusiasts Association will be held during the August Open House event. Participants have the opportunity to compete for trophies sponsored by Autoweek that will include Best of Show, Best Roush, Best Ford, and Best Custom. Registration is free to the first 75 who Pre-Register. Applications for the car show are available on our home page, the Roush Collection Retail Store, or at WWW.GOROUSH.COM The Roush Collection Retail Store is located at 11851 Market Street Livonia, Michigan 48150 and store hours are Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Roush Performance Products have a strong presence during the Open House event. Drag race fans can check out vehicles used by the four-car Roush team for the continued research and development of the line of Roush Competition Parts. A drag race simulator will also be available to test your reaction time.
Sign up to tour the Roush Performance Products Facility which is separate from the Roush Collection Museum. Shuttles leave from the Roush Collection to transport guests to the Roush Performance Facility where guest can see firsthand what goes into producing a Roush Performance vehicle. Tours held at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm. Limited seating is available; to ensure your place on the Roush Performance shuttle please Pre-Register by calling 734-779-7290.
Two teams from the ROUSH Engine Build Department compete side-by-side to see who can execute a complete engine build-up, including a live test run, in the quickest time.
A large selection of authentic race car parts are available for purchase. Treasure hunters will find race car body panels from the NASCAR series Roush Fenway teams of Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray, Greg Biffle, and David Ragan. Race driven tires from these Roush Fenway teams will also be available for purchase at twenty dollars each.
A series of door prize drawings are held throughout the evening. Door prize give-aways include a pair of MIS Grandstand seat tickets for the 3M Performance 400 on August 17, 2008. Also, a pair of Keystone NMCA Edelbrock Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals V.I.P. passes to Milan Dragway August 22nd-24th, 2008. Additional door prize give-aways include a variety of Roush memorabilia.
Guests can satisfy their appetite at the J.R.’s Garage Filling Station. Hamburgers, hot dogs and other cruise-in favorites are on the menu.
Parking and shuttle service to the Roush Automotive Collection will be available at Madonna University located on the north-west corner of Levan Rd. and Schoolcraft (I-96) in Livonia, Michigan. Shuttle service to the Roush Collection is provided from 3:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
